The call of alpine delights

Make the most of your stay and try the best Savoyard specialities. Whether you're travelling as a couple, with family or with friends, start the day with a mountain-style breakfast. Your plate will include farmhouse bread covered with alpine cheese and jam. Just right to set you up for the slopes.

After a day of adventures, enjoy a delicious raclette made with local cheese. Give in to the temptation of tartiflette with crozet pasta or a hotpot of vegetables, diot sausage and bacon. Unless your kids would prefer a gratin dauphinois made to a traditional recipe. Share a fondue as a family and end on a sweet note with a slice of meltingly soft biscuit de Savoie.

At Club Med, mountain recipes extend beyond the frontiers of Savoie

In Japan, the Sahoro Hokkaido Resort will awaken your senses to Daichi, with generous buffets offering international cuisine and Japanese specialities. The Mina Mina restaurant in the Resort of Tomamu Hokkaido, offers the traditional dishes of the island of Hokkaido, including nabe. Half way between a fondue and a casserole, this traditional dish is served on a hot-plate in the centre of the table. In this recipe for mountain soup, each ingredient is cooked at the last minute and in a precise order.

In China, foodies can discover the flavours of the province of Jilin with a Hot Pot (traditional fondue based on meat, seafood and vegetables) served at the Petit Bus Rouge, the specialities restaurant in the Resort of Beidahu. In Yabuli, the Mudan is the place to go to discover the delights of the province of Heilongjiang, including meat ravioli and lamb fondue.
