Awesome pickleball
We spent six days at Club Med Cancun and the resort is beautiful. The resort has more beach front than most resorts and plenty of activities to try on the water. The pickleball staff of Javier, j,Carlos, & Esteban are awesome as are the facilities. There are 10 new courts! Tarik, sports director has an activity for everyone! There are many fitness opportunities to try taught by professional fitness instructors. There’s new water slides for the entire family. The sports island includes archery, bocce ball, basketball courts, miniature golf, and the circus apparatus. The rooms were a little older in the section of the resort we stayed, but were kept clean and had a great view with a balcony. Having been to 3 other Club Med locations we found that the GOs were not quite as friendly as we have found at other resorts. The food was ok as it is at the other resorts (3.5/5). The tables didn’t get cleaned off quickly and there wasn’t enough staff to keep the food stocked in the buffet lines and stations like the omelet station from having long lines. With a few more staff these items could be fixed. While all Club Meds speak French, they normally also speak in English. This was true most of the time, but we did have a few times that there was a language barrier. We had high winds a little rain, but the staff handled the weather well. We got to meet and talk with YouYou, the acting Chief of the Village and he has an extremely fun contagious personality! Overall it was a very enjoyable week!!

Great experience
We went on a family vacation with friends, and decided to go to Club Med because that is where our friends always go.
This property is a quick ride from the Cancun airport, I believe it was about 15 minutes. There are several parts of the resort, we stayed in Aquamarina, which is the family area near the kids club. First impression was that this was an incredible location at the tip of the hotel zone. The resort is huge, compared to other nearby spots, there is one side of the resort that has milder ocean access, great for kids, and a different part, facing the other resorts, that has more intense waves.
I was happy that they offered a bedroom 1.5 bath accommodations, and at a reasonable price. I was even more pleasantly surprised to arrive that all of the family rooms have an ocean-front view! The less good about the room: the room was dated; chipping paint, a finicky toilet, and not the best pillows. However, we did not spend too much time in the room, so it wasn't a huge deal for us.
There were a lot of activities to try, which I loved. We took advantage of the kids club, and because of that my husband and I had time for : pickleball, snorkeling, paddleboarding, and kayaking. I was also very happy that the kids club took the kids to do lots of activities. The kids went swimming, tried trapeze, archery, mini golf and a lot of other fun age-appropriate activities! They loved it and that made us appreciate that part of our trip.
The food was ok, a lot of french-type items like crepes, croissants, etc... There are 3 places to eat, a buffet near the kids club area and a buffet on the main part of the resort. There is also a steakhouse that takes dinner reservations in the main area as well. The food was maybe a 3.5 out of 5, some nights better than others, but there was always enough for all of us to try!
However, a downside about the food is the lack of mindfulness for allergies or other dietary restrictions. Some food isn't even labeled with what it is, none of the ingredients are listed and they use the same dishes to mix varies food (for example they used the same bowl to make different ceviche with either fish or seafood, and as someone with a dish allergy that was a problem for me.)
I would for sure go back, and hope to try other club meds around the world!

We love this place!!!
Club Med is our happy place - we love it! It is a great resort for all ages and can be relaxing or active, depending on your desires. Many in our family don't sit around much and appreciate all of the included activities, tournaments, classes offered. You will NOT find another resort that has THIS many sports, exercise classes, tournaments offered. To top if off, they have live music every night at 7:00 with drinks and appetizers, good shows at 9:30, and fun dancing/parties and DJ's to round out the evening. We had 4 college students with us and they had a blast! The food is always high quality with many healthy choices available. Pickleball was great, trapeze team solid, fun fitness and activities teams this time also. Samuran did a nice job as the interim chief while we were there. The bar staff at Soluna bar were awesome and SO FUN! The DJ in the evenings read the crowd and kept the dancing going (: We did miss tennis though - the tennis courts had to be removed due to the addition of a new water park in that area. We saw improvements in the trapeze area with an added shade canopy, bungee trampoline, and new multi sports court. It is a spread out resort, but the golf carts run quite frequently (we had family with mobility issues with us), and there is an elevator for the main restaurant. The pool in January is very cold, but the ocean temperature was nice so we mostly swam in it instead. This CM has the BEST beach areas on the Cancun strip for sure - it is large for this part of Cancun. Lots of chairs, shade options, beautiful clear blue water and soft white sand. TIP - the thermostats in your room can be lowered to 18 degrees by maintenance staff if you put in a request at reception. This was one of our most fun visits here mainly due to the great staff present during this trip, and also due to the other guests present (we met some FUN people!). Our room requests were met by the GOLD members staff, as was a late check out on our day of departure - THANK YOU. The only negative on this trip was the staff in La Hacienda in the evenings. Our crew dined late (8-8:30 pm) - by that time there were no clean table set up for additional diners. We had to ask EVERY night for staff to help set up a new table with basic silverware, water and wine glasses, and ask them for water and wine to be provided. Many times staff ignored us or were actually rude. They seemed severely understaffed and overworked. CMC - Please address this - it was unpleasant!

Very Pleased
First stay at a ClubMed and our family loved it. It was great for the kids. The food was good. Our stay at Aquamarina location/building was the perfect room and location for us. A room faced got ocean was awesome. The beach at that spot was calmer and the access to the pool was perfect. We'd definitely stay again.

Thank you Club Med Cancun !!!
My family and I just came back from the Club Med Cancun and we had the best time!!! The beach was gorgeous, food delicious, the new waterpark is WOW so much fun, service and animation was so great too!! The Chef of the Village Samarun is AMAZING!!! He went above and beyond for us during our entire stay wether it was for restaurant reservations, making sure we were enjoying ourselves, that we didn’t miss anything and for us to have a room until the very last minute to be able to freshen up with the kiddos before our flight! We really enjoyed ourselves there!!! We highly recommend, you simply MUST visit Club Med Cancun!!! Thank you for the best vacation ❤️
